Return Reward Scheme
Flooring Sales launch their new ‘Return Reward Scheme’ for own brand Taurus adhesives and primer We now have in stock two new MS adhesives, H22 for solid wood floors and H16 for engineered flooring along with our new PU primer R45. These are top quality products, competitively priced for professional use. In addition we will soon be launching our own brand lacquers. At the same time we are introducing a ‘Return Reward Scheme’ whereby we will pay you to return your empty tubs of our own branded Taurus products. Why are we launching this scheme? At Flooring Sales we are concerned about single use plastics and believe that plastics should be viewed as a recoverable resource rather than simply being landfilled. We will ensure that all returned containers will be recycled in the UK, rather than being sent overseas for reprocessing, as happens with much of the current plastics for recycling. This has frequently led to plastics being indiscriminately dumped or to illegal uncontrolled incineration, resulting in unnecessary environmental pollution. How it works When you return your empty Taurus containers, we will pay you £1 for each adhesive container or 50p for the primer containers. Alternately you can defer the payment to be paid to the charity ‘Plastic Oceans UK’. We do ask you to please ensure that the containers are empty and are as clean as possible. As a business, we will take responsibility for the ‘waste’ our own products produce and invite you to join us in our efforts to keep plastics in the economy and out of the environment.

R45 PU Resin Primer and DPM
R45 - Ready to use polyurethane resin primer/DPM for application to absorbent and non-absorbent cementitious substrates. Solvent and water free. For use prior to the application of Taurus H16 and H22 adhesives. Use as one coat primer for consolidating weak cement screeds. Use as two coat DPM for suppressing moisture up to 6 CM% / 98 RH % in cement based screeds without floor heating, or heated cement screeds up to 3 CM% / 85 RH % max. Suppressant of residual moisture only, will not suppress moisture under hydrostatic pressure. Only one coat can be applied over anhydrite screeds.

Application: Brush and/or roller. Shake tub before use. Apply one coat as a primer or two coats (with second coat at 90 degrees) as a DPM. Apply adhesive within 24 hours. If covering with a levelling compound, broadcast fine grade sand into a third coat of R45.
Consumption: Approx. 100-150 g/sqm as a one coat primer, approx. 250-350g/sqm as two coat DPM. This tub approx. 33 to 50 sqm as one coat primer; approx. 14 to 20 sqm as two or three coat DPM.
Drying time: Approximately 45 minutes per coat. Storage: Store upright, not below +5 °C. Shelf Life: 1 year from date of manufacture

Please ensure that the empty containers are as clean as possible. As a business, we will take responsibility to minimise the pollution our own products produce.

H16 High Performance MS adhesive for bonding engineered floors
All subfloors must be assessed as strong, level, permanently dry and free from cracks, dust, contaminants and substances that prevent adhesion. Surface crystallization of anhydrite floors must be removed and vacuumed. Anhydrite and other dusty surfaces MUST be primed with the correct product.

Application: The adhesive must be applied evenly with a serrated trowel. Install the floor on top of the adhesive and press down firmly. Ensure the back of the wood is fully covered with adhesive.
Open time: Approx. 40 minutes subject to exact adhesive consumption and climatic conditions.
Consumption: Approx. 1.1 kg per sqm (approx 14 to 15sqm from this tub) depending on the size of the notched trowel and structure of the subfloor.
Drying time: Light foot traffic after 6-8 hours. Full foot traffic after 24-48 hours (subject to exact climatic conditions). Subfloor temperature must be above 15°C.
Storage: Store upright, not below +5 °C. Shelf Life: 1 year from date of manufacture
